Full Description

An area of probable enclosures comprises of ditches and gullies was identified during evaluation excavations. A saltern was also recorded. A wide variety of pottery was recorded including greyware, shell tempered wares, Dales-type wares, South Carlton, Nene Calley colour-coated, grit-tempered wares, amphora, samian and London-type. Animal bone and oyster/scallop shell was also well represented. {1}{2}
