Full Description

30 sherds of Saxon pottery recovered from land to the east of Lincoln Road, Welton, during archaeological excavations in April-May 2012. Sherds were recovered from features including the backfill of robbed out Roman foundation trenches. The assemblage included 13 sherds of North Maxey-type ware (680-870 AD) and a single sherd of imported Ipswich type ware (730-850 AD). {1}{2}
