Full Description

14 sherds of Late Saxon to Medieval pottery recovered from land at Maidenwell Manor, Maidenwell. Five sherds appear to be a fine fabric of a similar form to 13th-14th century Louth-type Toynton ware, and there is a single sherd of a regional import, possibly from Scarborough. The other Medieval sherds are a mix of local fabrics. The single Late Saxon sherd was of Louth Area Late Saxon Shell and Iron ware. {1}{2}
