Full Description

An assemblage of worked flint of probable Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date, found on land at Public Sector Hub, Mareham Road, Horncastle. Some of the flint was recovered from unstratified contexts, with the rest likely residual, recovered from gully and ditch fills of a possible Roman date. The assemblage comprised mostly debitage waste of flint cores and flakes, indicating nearby flint working activity. {1}{2}
