Full Description
Mid to late 19th century pair of farmworkers' cottages. Two storey brick and stone construction under a pitched gabled roof of pantiles, with one ridge stack and one end stack. The rear south-facing elevation of the eastern cottage is constructed of stone rubble at ground floor level, with brick above, suggesting the second storey is a later addition. The stone wall is of a similar construction to the attached barn (see MLI127029), and it is possible that the buildings are contemporary and that the cottage originally had an agricultural function. Both cottages have an asymmetrical arrangement of door and window openings. {1}
