A Medieval ditch on land adjacent to Rose Cottage Garden, 10 Orby Road, Burgh le Marsh. Medieval ceramic finds were also recovered from unstratified contexts nearby.

Full Description

The remains of an east-west aligned Medieval ditch were recorded in this location in November 2015, during a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording during groundworks for a residential development. The ditch, positively dated to the 9th-10th centuries, was identified in the south of the site. 2 sherds of Medieval pottery were recovered from the fill of this ditch. Also recovered from nearby unstratified deposits were another 5 sherds of medieval pottery. {1}{2}
