Full Description

Two sherds of medieval pottery, found to the west of Bourne Road, Morton, during trial trenching in February-March 2021. Both were small flakes of Bourne "D" ware, dating to the 15th-16th centuries. They were recovered from a flood deposit identified below the subsoil. It is considered likely that the sherds were either intrusive to the deposit or washed into an undulation during flooding. {1}{2}
