Full Description

Three former agricultural outbuildings forming a single northwest-southeast aligned range bonded to the northeast corner of the farmhouse (see MLI126945). This is one of two surviving ranges of outbuildings at Glentham Cliff Farm (MLI117970). The southeast outbuilding is a single storey building of brick and uncoursed roughly worked stone blocks, under a pitched gabled pantile roof with a brick chimney stack on the southeast gable. A decorative brick string course runs along thesouthwest and northeast elevations below the eaves. Internally, it is divided into three rooms currently used for storage, though their original use is unknown. The central outbuilding is also a single storey structure. It has a stone block west elevation but is otherwise constructed of brick, and has a pitched gabled roof of pantile and corrugated metal. Its roof height is slightly lower than the building to the southeast. It is internally divided into two bays now used as garages, with large openings to the southwest. To the northwest is a two storey outbuilding constructed at its lower storey of stone, with brick quoins and a brick upper storey. It has a pitched gabled pantile roof. The lower floor is currently in use as storage, and has a doorway in the southwest elevation. The upper storey appears to have formerly been used as a pigeoncote, with a large opening in the northwest elevation and pigeonholes made from brick pillars holding rows of inverted pantiles in place. {1}{2}
