Full Description

Glentham Cliff Farmhouse (Glentham Cliff), Glentham. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. {1} Historic mapping shows a large complex of outbuildings around three south-facing crewyards. On the 2nd Edition 25 Inch OS Map (published 1906), the eastern crewyard appears to be divided again into three distinct sections. Of this complex, only the farmhouse, western barn, and the range of buildings to the north of the farmhouse are still extant. It is assumed that the other ranges were demolished during the 20th century when the complex ceased to be used for agricultural purposes. {2}{3}{4}{5}
