Full Description
The remains of several Medieval features were recorded in this location in September 2022, during trial trenching undertaken to inform the proposed construction of a residential development on the site. Pottery sherds of Saxo-Norman and Medieval date and animal remains were recovered from a number of features; a waste pit, boundary ditch and a possible plough furrow. Two other possible furrows produced no finds and were undated but assumed to be of Medieval date. {1}{2}
