Full Description
Mid- to late-19th century agricultural outbuildings forming the working part of Low Grange Farm, Middle Rasen. The structures formed a U-shaped farming complex around a crewyard, open to the south. The buildings were all of red brick, under hipped tile roofs. The east range comprised a large modern cattle shed that replaced earlier structures seen on historic mapping. The north range comprised a two storey combination barn (open to the rafters) with double threshing doors in the north and south elevations, and a two bay cart shed with granary above. Granary access was through internal stairs in the threshing barn. The cart shed had single doors opening into the crewyard and large double doors for cart access opening to the north. A loose box, built in a later phase of construction, was built at the corner of the north and east ranges. The west range comprised a single storey stable with three boxes, each with paneled heck door still in situ, likely dating to the late 19th century. {1}{2}
