Full Description

Suncastle is a public house which was originally constructed as a solarium and tea rooms. The Sun Castle was opened in 1933 and was designed by town surveyor R. H. Jenkins. It is a three-storey building with a rectangular plan. The front elevation has two crenellated towers with loopholes and battlemented parapets. There is a two-storey rear range with crenellated parapet, gothic style arches, casement windows and a ground floor access door. {1}
