Full Description

Former infant school. Two storey building of coursed limestone, under a pitched gabled tile roof, with ashlar windo surrounds and hood moulds. Gables are coped with stone. The southwest elevation has a bell gable with a datestone reading '1863'. {1} A number of new schools were built in Grantham in the 19th century. White's 1872 Trade Directory noted that there were two infant schools in the town, though a number of infant school buildings can be seen on the 1888 OS map. {2}{3}
