Full Description

Former school building. Two storey dark red brick in English Bond, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. Polychromatic brick window headers. Red brick string courses below and above windows on ground floor and below windows on first floor. Doorway on elevation facing High Street infilled with brick. Attached to neighbouring Grammar School building (MLI126666) by a small brick porch with a slate roof. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the National School was added to the site of the Grammar School in around 1865. {2}
