Full Description

Former farm and mill house at Burgh on Bain Mill. The main farmhouse is thought to have been constructed c.1820, being built at the same time as the adjoining mill (see MLI125681).Parts of the original 18th century mill house may still survive, however, with material from earlier structures on the site known to have been re-used. The structure is largely of two storeys, and built of uncoursed ironstone rubble, with pitched pantile roofs. A single storey former brewhouse forms an attached southern range. The building has been in use as a private farmhouse residence since the mill ceased operations in the 1930s. {1}
