Full Description

The mortuary chapel at Mareham le Fen Cemetery is believed to have been built in 1882, at the same time that the cemetery is thought to have been established (see MLI126475). The building is first depicted on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map of 1887, where it is labelled as being for non-conformists. The building is of red brick, with a steeply pitched roof of slate. A stone cross is set at the eastern gable end of the roof. {1}{2}{3}
