Full Description

An early 19th century two-storey public house constructed of red brick. It is located on a corner plot and the original plan was square until a front single-storey wrap-around extension was added towards the end of the 19th century. The original part of the building has a hipped roof with concrete tiles and a central chimney stack; the roofing would have probably originally been covered in pantiles. The building was presumibly originally a house which was then converted into a pub. The first landlord took over the premises around 1836. {1} The public house closed at some point between 2011 and 2015; it is now in use as a restaurant. {2}
