Full Description

This former agricultural building was the subject of a detailed programme of historic building recording, conducted in May 2019, in advance of its proposed conversion to residential use. The earliest, northern part of the building is thought to date between 1856 and 1873, based on historic map evidence, with the southern part being added at some point between 1873 and 1886. The structure is single-storey, and functioned as a former livestock barn and shelter. Built of red brick, the structure features a pitched pantile roof, with the northern part enclosed and the southern part largely open-fronted. Brick walls to the east and south of the building would have created an adjacent crewyard. {1}{2}
