Full Description

This former agricultural building was the subject of a detailed programme of historic building recording, conducted in May 2019, in advance of its proposed conversion to residential use. The building is thought to date between 1873 and 1886, based on historic map evidence. The structure is single-storey, and functioned as a former wagon shed. Built of red brick, the structure features a pitched pantile roof, and has three open bays on the north-eastern side, allowing carts and implements to be stored inside. Although now open fronted, hinge pins and reinforcing stone quoins are to the middle bay, indicating it originally had heavy doors attached, allowing tools and small implements to be locked away. {1}{2}
