Full Description
During a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording on Plot 1, Sandilands, Fen Road, East Kirkby, a series of three pits were identified in the area of the foundation trenches of the building. The pits did not contain any finds. During the groundworks for a new tank to the east, an east-west aligned ditch was identified. The ditch also did not contain any finds. Due to the surrounding features, it is thought that the features may date to the medieval or post-medieval period. {1}{2}
