Full Description

During an archaeological excavation on land at the Poplars, Poplar Lane, Legbourne, a posthole was identified. The posthole had a stepped profile and contained two fills of a packing material and a clear postpipe. Two sherds of late Saxon pottery were found in the postpipe dating to 5th-9th century. {1}{2}
