Full Description
During a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording at Kingerby Hall for groundworks around the kitchen, a series of deposits were identified. These were the earliest deposits on site, and may represent Roman levelling layers. The first is a grey-brown silt sand below a mid yellow-brown silt clay. The uppermost layer contained two sherds of Roman greyware pottery belonging to a flanged bowl and jar. {1}{2}
