Full Description
A concrete Second World War Stanton air raid shelter at Gibraltar Point. It originally formed part of the defences of the Gibraltar Point Coastal Defence Battery (see MLI43285). It had been formerly located somewhere in the nearby dunes, but was moved to this location in c.1949, to be used as storage for the adjacent Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve bird observatory (see MLI125929). {1}
