A programme of historic building recording was undertaken on Church Farm, prior to its proposed demolition. The farm building dated back to the 17th century and was of timber framed construction. It underwent considerable alterations and additions in the mid 20th century, including a single storey side wing, reducing the main farmhouse from two stories to one, and heavy cement rendering to all elevations of the farmhouse. {1}{2}
