Full Description
A series of medieval furrows were recorded in 2019-2020 during an earthwork survey, geophysical survey and subsequent evaluation trenching and programme of archaeological monitoring and recording on land off The Sidings, Horncastle. The furrows contained a fill containing later medieval pottery, as well as post-medieval CBM, indicating that the strip cultivation may have continued into the post-medieval period. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
