Full Description

A detached wireless radio station was established in this location in the mid 20th century, as an ancillary site of the RAF Langtoft radar station (see MLI34961). It is not clear whether this detached station was constructed at the same time that RAF Langtoft opened in 1941, or if it was added as part of the early 1950s remodelling of that site. RAF Langtoft closed in 1958, and it is likely that this detached station also closed at the same time. The main building here comprised a single-storey, brick-built structure, with windows protected by steel blast shutters. The site was converted to agricultural use after the station's closure. {1}
