Full Description

Remains of medieval ridge and furrow were recorded in this location in October 2011, during an earthwork survey of land at Fenlake Fisheries. The ridge and furrow was aligned north-east to south-west across the site, with the distance between the ridges being around 8-10m wide. The full length of the ridge and furrow is unknown, as it had been truncated by later ploughing activity and the construction of the adjacent railway and associated bridge on the south-western side. The remains of an associated probable headland was recorded along the north-eastern edge of the field. {1}{2}
