Fragments of redeposited medieval roof tile and a redposited sherd of medieval pottery were found in Jan 2017, on land to the rear of 7-9 Greetwell Road, Lincoln. The fragments were uncovered during a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording of groundworks for a new residential development. No features of archaeological significance were found. The pottery sherd was believed to have been from a 13th to 14th century jug of Lincoln Glazed Sandy ware-type fabric. The roof tile fragments were of a local Lincoln fabric, believed to date from the late 12th to the 14th centuries. {1}{2}
