Full Description

Spilsby war memorial is situated in the churchyard of the Church of St James. It is a large cross standing upon an octagonal base of a plinth and three steps, and is based on Sir Reginald Bloomfield's Cross of Sacrifice. Unveiled in 1921 to commemorate the First World War dead, it now also bears the names of the fallen from the Second World War and the Suez Crisis. {1}
