Full Description

Skendleby war memorial is located on the junction of Main Street and Stone Pitt Lane. It stands at 15ft (4.5m) high and comprises of an octagonal tapered shaft decorated with a capital and surmounted by a calvary. The calvary has representations of the crucifixion on the south face and the Virgin and child on the north. Unveiled in 1920, the memorial is dedicated to those who died in the First World War and the Second World War. {1}
