Full Description

Northorpe war memorial is situated in the south-east corner of the churchyard of the Church of St John the Baptist. The memorial, unveiled in 1920, commemorates all those who died and who fought and returned in the First World War. The names of those who died in the Second World War were added later. The memorial itself is a white marble pedestal surmounted by a quadrupled gable capping with a draped urn and laurel wreath. {1}
