Full Description
Legsby war memorial is the lychgate at the entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Thomas. The 12.5ft (3.5m) high and 9ft (3m) wide lychgate was constructed out of oak, local stone and Welsh slate. The memorial features ornate barge-boarding and is surmounted with a simple oak cross and a slate tablet fixed to the gable, which carries the names of those who died in the First World War and the Second World War. The construction of the lychgate was completed in late 1919, and it was dedicated in early 1920. {1}
