The Gainsborough war memorial stands at the corner of Gladstone Street and Parnell Street near Gainsborough Old Hall. It commemorates those who fought in the First World War and Second World War. The memorial was officially unveiled on 9 October 1921. The memorial consists of a cenotaph atop of a base of three steps. {1}
