Full Description
Fulstow war memorial is a polished Westmorland slate plaque with gold lettering and a string of red poppies down the centre. It is affixed to the village hall on Main Street and contains the names of those who died in the First World War and the Second World War. The village had initially been denied a memorial as one of the First World War fallen had been executed for desertion. A 2004 campaign encouraged the War Memorial Trust to give £250 for a memorial. It was was unveiled in 2005. {1}
