Full Description
East Heckington war memorial stands at the entrance to the former Church of St John the Baptist, on the boundary of the parishes of Heckington and Great Hale. It is a 7.5 ft (2m) tall obelisk made out of white Portland stone. It is supported by a plinth, double-die base and single step. The exact date of unveiling is unknown, but most likely took place in 1920-1921. The memorial is dedicated to those who died in the First World War and the Second World War. {1}
