Full Description
East Ferry war memorial is situated at the very southern edge of the settlement on High Street. It commemorates those who died in the First World War. The memorial stands 10ft (3m) high. It is made of rough-hewn grey granite, in the form of a cross with an embossed crusader sword. The original site of the memorial was opposite the chapel of St Mary. It was relocated in 2001 after the chapel was sold in 1986. The memorial was originally unveiled in 1921. {1}
