Full Description

East Barkwith war memorial was unveiled in 1921 and stands on the junction of Lincoln Road and Torrington Lane. It is a 14ft (4m) high Portland stone memorial cross which sits on three York stone octagonal steps. The memorial is surmounted by a laurel wreath and crown. It commemorates the fallen of the First World War and the Second World War. M. Credland lists the memorial as including West Barkwith. {1}
