Doddington and Whisby war memorial consists of the lychgate leading to the Church of St Peter. Unveiled in 1920, the memorial honours those who fought in the First World War. The memorial is an oak-framed structure with a rosemary tiled roof surmounted by a timber cross. It sits on local brickwork flanking walls, with the wording 'From Death unto Life' carved along the front tie beam. A brass plaque and illuminated oak framed roll of honour was also unveiled, and hangs in the church porch (see PRN 61081). {1}
