Frampton war memorial, which was dedicated in 1922, is situated on the corner of Thorniman Lane and Middlegate Road. It is a Cornish granite obelisk and was designed by George Maile and Son Ltd of London. The memorial commemorates the fallen of the First World War and the Second World War. {1} Frampton War Memorial Obelisk, stands a small garden on the corner of Thorniman Lane and Middlegate Road. It was unveiled in 1922. It is a simple yet well-proportioned Cornish granite obelisk in the Classical style. it has a square base and a tapering square plinth bearing its inscription that commemorates the sixteen men of the parish who had died during the First World War. Following the Second World War an additional inscription was added to include one man who had died in that conflict.
