Full Description
Two redeposited sherds of Roman pottery were found in this location in September 2010, during archaeological monitoring of new development at 2 Northgate. The sherds were recovered from the late post-medieval backfill deposits of possible medieval quarries (see PRN 71254), and comprised a fragment of samian ware, and a rim piece from a South Carlton-type ware flagon. {1}{2}
