Full Description

A scatter of Neolithic flints was identified in February 2016, during a programme of systematic field walking, conducted in the field to the north of the village known as Sutterby Hill Field. The assemblage was comprised of a mixture of broken tools and debitage flakes, including a number of former disc and end scrapers and one core fragment. Most of the flints appeared to be of early Neolithic date, although some later Neolithic examples were present. {1}
