Full Description

Pottery from the 13th to 16th centuries found at different levels in a pit dug for a septic tank, just north-east of Algarkirk Rectory. Pieces of worked limestone, one dated 1550, also a brick sewer of square section, have also been found from Rectory Farm at TF293355. All finds held by the Boston Archaeological Group, including Stamford Ware. The site now under crop was indicated by Hilary Healey. {1}{2}{3}{4} Medieval pottery included Ipswich Ware found in 1975, in the area of Rectory Farm. {5}{6}
