Full Description
Unnamed farmstead, Pinchbeck. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with L-plan range plus detached buildings to the fourth side of the yard. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {1}
The surviving buildings of a detached 19th century farmstead complex, forming a U-shape around a crewyard with an opening to the south. The complex is formed into two ranges. The eastern range comprises a shelter shed, the remaining outer eastern wall, and the remains of a milking room or dairy with an attached, possibly later, wash house. The western range comprises a threshing barn for mechanical threshing, which includes a cartshed, grain store and hayloft, and a stable. The buildings are of brick construction, with pitched pantile roofs and Dutch doors, where surviving.
The farmstead complex is currently in the planning process for conversion into domestic buildings (as of June 2020). {2}{3}
