Full Description

Victoria Farm, Fulbeck. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {1} A historic building survey was conducted on the surviving north range of the outbuilding complex (see MLI127446) in July 2024. Map regression indicates that the farm likely dates from between 1837 (the date of Queen Victoria's ascension to the throne) and 1869, when the farm is first depicted on a map of Fulbeck Manor. It is at any rate not depicted on the 1824 Cassini map. {2}{3}
