Full Description

High Barn Farm (High Barn), Hagworthingham. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {1} A 2018 excavation following trial trenching encountered the remains of several former farm buildings present in 19th century Ordnance Survey mapping, including a large quantity of 19th and 20th century brick and tile. {2}{3}
