Full Description

Grasby Top Farm (Grasby Top), Grasby. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with linked working buildings to all four sides of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {1} A historic buildings survey was undertaken in May 2019 to inform proposed conversion to domestic use of a single storey agricultural building forming part of the north-eastern range of the farmyard complex. he surveyed building forms the north-eastern range of a U-shape complex arranged around a south east facing courtyard. It is of red brick construction with a pitched gable roof of pantiles. Brick infills on both the south west and north east elevations suggest significant 20th century alteration to the building's fabric and use. {2}{3}
