Full Description

The remains of a probable post-medieval ditch was identified in this location in March 2015, during magnetometry survey of land to the north of Metheringham Heath Lane. The feature was recorded as a linear magnetic anomaly, running on a roughly north to south alignment. No corresponding feature is depicted on any of the historical map editions for this area, suggesting the probable ditch pre-dates the Enclosure of this area in the late 18th century. {1}{2}
