Martin war memorial is situated in the churchyard of Holy Trinity Church. The memorial, which was unveiled in 1920, commemorated those who died in the First World War. It consists of an ornate stone cross atop a tapering shaft, mounted on an octagonal plinth with four steps. It is made from Portland stone. {1} A First World War memorial, by M. Tuttell and Sons of Lincoln, unveiled on 9 April 1921 by Capt Reginald Herbert Spooner of the Manor House, Metheringham. The war memorial stands in the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Trinity. It consists of an ornate and striking Ancaster limestone cross with carved decorative details in a medieval style on an octagonal shaft with a carved decorative collar and base. The shaft rises from an octagonal plinth and a three-stepped square base. Following the Second World War, the names of those who lost their lives in that war were also added.
