Full Description

A cloth seal and circular token were found in this location in February 2015, during trial trenching to inform proposed development on land off St Botolphs Crescent. Both artefacts were made of lead and dated to the post-medieval period. The cloth seal was circular and was stamped with the letters XIII. The token was stamped on one side with an eight spoked wheel, with a pellet between each spoke, and on the other side with four central dots, quartered with a border of impressed lines. {1}{2}
