Full Description

The remains of a metalled trackway were recorded in this location, during trial trenching conducted in October 2013. The surface was composed of medium sized cobbles, overlying the course of a former palaeochannel. Although the exact date of construction for the trackway is unclear, it must post-date the infilling of the palaeochannel, which is thought to have occured in the post-medieval period. {1}{2}
